What is the difference between AHA, BHA and PHA?

AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) exfoliate the skin surface to improve texture and fade dark spots. BHA (beta hydroxy acids, like salicylic acid) are oil-soluble and penetrate inside pores to clear congestion and control breakouts. PHA (polyhydroxy acids) are gentler, larger-molecule exfoliants that work on the skin surface with less irritation — ideal for sensitive skin. save our skin combines all three for comprehensive exfoliation that addresses surface texture, pore congestion, and sensitivity simultaneously.

How often should I use save our skin serum?

start with 2–3 times per week in the evening and build up based on your skin's tolerance. if you experience no irritation after 2 weeks, you can increase to every other night. avoid using on the same night as other exfoliants. always follow with SPF the next morning — exfoliating acids increase sun sensitivity. pair with all the shade SPF 30 for daily protection.

Is save our skin suitable for sensitive skin?

save our skin is formulated with PHA as part of the exfoliant blend, which makes it more tolerable for sensitive skin than AHA-only serums. it also contains aloe to soothe and niacinamide to strengthen the skin barrier. however, if you have very reactive skin, start with once per week and patch test first. the formula is dermatologist approved.

Can save our skin help with acne and breakouts?

yes. save our skin contains BHA (salicylic acid) which penetrates inside pores to dissolve the congestion that causes breakouts, combined with niacinamide to regulate sebum and fade post-acne dark spots. used 2–3 times per week alongside jelly splash cleanser, it forms an effective acne-management routine that addresses both active breakouts and the hyperpigmentation they leave behind.
